Doing business OR living on the Island of AITUTAKI : This tiny group of islands sits within one of the world’s largest lagoons is regarded by many as one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Aitutaki has a population of approximately 2300. It has 15 small islets and a main volcanic island with a height of 119 meters. The lagoon at Aitutaki is shallow (11 meters maximum depth) and almost completely enclosed by a substantial barrier reef.
The Aitutaki Lagoon is just magical - its crystal clear waters boast warm inviting temperatures, abundant colorful fish, magnificent coral formations and so much more. Aitutaki lies approx 200 km from Rarotonga (approx 45 minutes by small plane).

Aitutaki is  well known for its friendly people plus it has one of the most spectacular lagoons the world has to offer. Snorkeling the Aitutaki lagoon and coral reef system is a truly wonderful experience whether you are an experienced snorkeler or a beginner. Aitutaki also has some of the most bio diverse reef systems in the world. The outer canyons of the Aitutaki barrier reef hold several hundred species of fish, it truly is an amazing site to see so many species living in such close proximity to each other, true testament to a diverse eco-system. The inner lagoon tours will take you to the giant clam reserve, small motu’s (islets) and some of the nicest beaches you may ever set foot on.
